Sounds Just Like

Who was it that said there's nothing new under the sun.  Turns out in the world of music, this is probably fairly accurate.  I just discovered this website that kind of blew my mind.  You can play songs back to back that sound eerily similar at: www.soundsjustlike.com.

It begs the question, did these artists intentionally infringe on someone else's copyright?  Or in the corners of someone's mind, did they write a song, not realizing that it mirrors something they've heard before?  (I know I've certainly done this!) Or is this the nature of the beast of writing music, that in the billions of compositions in the world that some are bound to sound similar?
